Using classes in functional location object

Hi,

I am looking at using classification system to control linking a functional location to a characteristics value which would refer to another functional location. Is it possible to accomplish this through the classification system?

The scenario is this:

I have two FLOCs :

1234

     5678

          ABCD

1234

     5678

          PQRS

Now I want to define (input) a value in FLOC ABCD (in classification screen) equal to PQRS i.e. when I drop down on the characteristic value field of FLOC ABCD, I would be presented a list of FLOC values to be selected from (from which I would select PQRS). My purpose is create a logical relationship (solely for reporting purpose).

OR do I need to do this in another way.

A direction to this would be welcome.
